Countdown To Halloween 2016

Holy smokes! The Countdown to Halloween starts Saturday! I'd better get some posts ready.  I've been doing this for 10 years. You'd think I'd plan ahead. :)

I am once again participating in the annual Countdown to Halloween. I will be posting 31 days of spooky and/or Halloweenie things throughout the month of October.

I want to see your old Halloween photos! If you have pictures of  yourself, family or friends dressed up, trick or treating, or partying please email them to me here. I'd love to feature them on a future blog post.

If you or someone you know has a blog and does a Halloween countdown of some sort, check out the Countdown to Halloween blog for details on how to join the fun.

If you're participating in the Countdown to Halloween and also share your posts on Facebook or Twitter, please leave a link in the comment section below so that I can follow you.

Thanks for checking out Wonderful Wonderblog! I hope you enjoy this years Countdown to Halloween.

The Quarter Box.

Has it really been over a year since I've done a quarter box post? The last one I see is from July 12, 2015. Wow! I suck as a blogger. :)

Anywho, here's what I've picked up from my local comic shops 25¢ box in the last 14 months (there are a few more monster related comics that I'm going to wait until October to post about).

Funko Monthly

Well, I knew this would happen. It's been over a month since I've posted my weekly Funko update. :)

I guess I'll try to do this as a monthly update. Here's what's new to my collection.

I'm 50 Years Old Today! How Did This Happen?

Man, 50 seemed really old when I was a kid. Now, not so much. Well, my body feels like it's 90, but in my mind I'm still a little kid. :)

I had a birthday party this past Saturday. I haven't had a birthday party in many decades. But, I thought 50 was a pretty big milestone. Instead of buying me a gift, my wife (with a little help from me) put the party together. It was held in my mother-in-laws church, because it was free since she's a member. It was decorated in a nerd theme with the colors being green and purple, representing my fondness of the Incredible Hulk (not the Joker as my brother teased lol).

I had a really wonderful time reminiscing with both old and new family, friends and co-workers. And now for some photos:

Food table 1.

Food table 2.

Memories table.

I was really happy that Ace Frehley could make it! :)

The church even had a purple cross on the wall. But, I wasn't allowed to decorate it.

The church was a Pokéstop, so a bunch of us were playing Pokémon Go!

I had a white cake with cherry filling.

Yum!

And now for some gifts.
Vintage Hulk comic and foreign Pokémon cards.

Toys 'R' Us gift card.

SDCC and Gamestop exclusive Cowboy Deadpool Funko Pop!

Everybody knows I have a t-shirt addiction. :)
Superman

Unleash the Hulk

The Muppet Show

Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Monsterfestmania Is This Weekend!

The first annual Monsterfestmania Science-Fiction and Horror Show is this weekend in Akron, Ohio. It's put on by the same people that run the Akron Comicon, so I think it should be a pretty good show. I'll be there Saturday getting autographs, buying stuff and taking plenty of pictures. See you there!

Funko Monday!

I guess this is becoming a thing. I didn't post this Sunday night because I downloaded Pokemon Go. Just what I need. Something else to distract me from the real world! :)

I went to The Exchange Saturday and picked these up. Luke Skywalker (The Force Awakens) Pop! and Glow-In-The-Dark Cthulhu Mystery Mini.

Celebrating The Bicentennial At Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World and Disneyland both celebrated the USA's bicentennial from June 1975 to September 1976. In July of 1975 my family went on vacation to Orlando, FL. Me, my brother, dad, mom and grandma all piled in the station wagon on a two day drive from Ohio to Florida. We stayed in a rented condo and spent a lot of time in the swimming pool, ocean and fishing. We also visited Walt Disney World, Cypress Gardens, and Stars Hall of Fame Wax Museum. Today I'm sharing my photos from Disney World.

Ben Franklin picked my brother and me out of the audience to come up on stage with him. He gave a speech and then handed us both a copy of the Declaration of Independence and a metal.

My brother and me photobombed by grandma. :)

Alligator Swamp

The Pirates of the Caribbean

Jungle Cruise

Log cabin with a canon.

The Magic Kingdom

My brother and me on Main Street.

The Admiral Jim Fowler Steamboat

We probably had this guide back then, Wish I still did.

I do still have this copy of the Declaration of Independence. I still have the medal somewhere.

I also have this Indian vest and necklace.

And still have the gun and tomahawk from my trip to Disney World 41 years ago!
