Drinking Old Ghoul-Aid!

I still have a few packs of last year's Kool-Aid Ghoul-Aid Scary Blackberry drink mix. So, I thought I'd whip up a pitcher-full and see how it tastes. What could possibly go wrong? I'm drinking expired Kool-Aid out of a mug I bought at a yard sale.

It wasn't so bad! I lived through it. :)

Voting ends tomorrow! Which one will win? Vote now!  ---->

The Solway Firth Spaceman

When i was a kid in the 70s I loved everything about Bigfoot, UFOs and other unexplained phenomenons. I lived around the corner from the local library and spent a lot of time there looking through books and checking them out. One of the UFO books I checked out multiple times had this photo in it:

I remember being scared of this photo as a child. I'd forgotten all about it until a year or so ago when I saw a color version of this picture somewhere on the interwebs.

Halloween (1978) At The Nightlight Cinema In Akron, OH

After trick-or-treating ended Saturday night, me and the missus went to the Nightlight Cinema in downtown Akron to see the original Halloween on the big screen. The Nightlight is a cool little independent theater. They sell alcohol and cupcakes at the concession stand. I thought about ordering a sasparilla, but I really don't know what that is. I only know about it from Bugs Bunny cartoons.

Anywho, I sat down with my popcorn and Diet Coke and watched Halloween for the first time in my life! It was a hoot! It was so cheesy and fun, I loved it!

Before the movie started, a three man band called Analog Fog played a tribute to John Carpenter movies by playing the theme music from the following movies:
1. Escape From New York
2. Christine
3. Assault On Precinct 13
4. Halloween

They sounded great. I recorded the first song they played (Escape From New York), but I wish I would have got Halloween! It was spectacular! Sorry about the videon quality, it was really dark in there.

Tricking & Treating

Saturday night was trick or treat night in Akron, OH. It was a nice night for this late in October. The temp. was 70° and no rain. It's usually in the 40s this time of year. I made 50 treat bags and ended up giving out 45 of them. I was expecting worse.
